About This Download
eChef will run as a 30-day trial when it is unlicensed. The trial does not have any feature restrictions—it’s the full version of eChef. The trial begins the first time you run eChef. To use eChef after it has expired, please visit the store and purchase a license key.
Please note that downloading eChef indicates your acceptance of the terms of the licensing agreement.
Installation Notes
The file download is approximately 28 MB. Along with your eChef trial software, this download includes the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, which is required for eChef to function. If your system is lacking this component, it will be installed as a prerequisite before eChef’s installation begins.
Upgrading Notes
eChef 1.2.6 is a free upgrade for anyone who has already purchased eChef. If you are upgrading directly from eChef 1.0, you will need to upgrade to eChef 1.1 first to update your recipe library. Please see the FAQ for details.
System Requirements
These are the combined requirements to run eChef and the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.
- Processor: 400 MHz or faster processor; 800 MHz or faster processor recommended
- Operating System: Windows 98, Windows 2000 with Service Pack 4 or later, Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or later, or Windows Vista.
- Memory: 96 megabytes (MB) of RAM or more; 256 megabytes (MB) or more recommended
- Hard Disk: 8 MB or more for eChef, 280 MB for Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (Total 288 MB or more)
